Hello from St. Croix, where I am using the Beryl AX3000 right now, routing all our encrypted Internet traffic, for all the devices in our suite (including Apple TV 4K) back through our home in California. This little box is excellent. Even have a C100 Tapo Camera watching over our suite which is recording to the frigate NVR back at home. So, my questions is, what does this GL-MT3000 do that my AX3000 , that I have had for about two years, not do. Any reasons to upgrade?

I kept getting coupon "security" errors, other messages saying the device couldn't be ordered based on my address, and the price jumping up to $100 on the final checkout screens. Tried using Chrome on desktop, incognito, safari on an iPhone, and the app.

What did eventually allow me to place an order for this price was signing in/up through the phone app using an Apple passkey and hiding my email address.

Connect to the travel router with your phone or laptop and go to your router's web page to log in. Choose what network you want it to connect to (Carnival Wifi for example). It will bring up the ship's wifi connect page where you can enter your credentials. Now multiple devices can connect to your travel router to access the internet at the same time. If your cruise only allows 1 device total (can't switch to another device even if the first is disconnected) then choose set up your phone as the main device and the router software makes it easy to clone your MAC address from the phone onto the router.

Use your phone/laptop to sign up for cruise wifi, then clone your phone/laptop's MAC address to the Beryl. It'll work now. You can also connect the Beryl to a battery pack to bring it around the ship.

I generally carry them in my carry on but this last time coming back I stuck my beryl in the checked and 3 countries said nothing(China, Japan, and US) so I would say you are fine.
