Fake 4K. 2.5K sensor stretched to 4K picture, quality will be worse than just recording at 2.5K start to finish.

That's fixed angle mount? Good luck with different windshield angles, if you can't pivot lense up or down..

Unless it says "IMX678" Starvis 2, skip it! Always look for "IMX678".

Is this same as 360 dashcam? Or did they change the name to Their OEM manufacturer the Botslab? Either way this used to be $79.99 back when 2021 when I bought it.

Where did you see this? And do you have alternate recommendations?

Recommendations depend what you need, but I recommend real brands like Viofo, Garmin, Vantrue, or Rove. If you're buying a dashcam, even a Viofo starts under $100, so you're not saving much by getting something cheaper, but the peace of mind is worth it in the long run.

It says Starvis 2, but doesn't say which version of the Starvis 2 sensor specifically. That's a common trick in cheap cameras, because it means they're using the cheaper version, the IMX675, which doesn't record in 4K. Companies that use the 4K version, the IMX678, advertise it prominently because it's a major selling point. So any camera that says "Starvis 2 4K" and doesn't also say "IMX678" anywhere is lying to you.

Thanks for the heads-up. Not that I think it'll do anything, but I reported the listing as misleading for this reason. Maybe if enough people flag it it'll actually get looked at by someone.

It's posted by staff, so highly likely paid advertising. Sometimes paid posts are good but frequently not
