The Ninja CREAMi XL Deluxe stands out as a strong pick for protein and specialty frozen treats, especially low carb or keto style ice cream. It can make multiple servings per container, and the XL format is praised for turning high protein milk, monk fruit, allulose, whey, or yogurt based mixes into customizable desserts. Cleaning is manageable when the machine is rinsed right away and dried vertically, though the blade area is still awkward and the unit is very loud. Refurb units also draw caution because of short warranty coverage and reports of early failures, so the warranty matters.
The machine can work well for weekly protein ice cream when users freeze the mix flat and follow cleanup promptly.
The refurbished unit can be easy to clean when rinsing and drying practices are followed immediately after spinning.
The CREAMi XL can produce multiple servings per container, which supports batch-style dessert making.
The CREAMi XL can be used for specialty low-carb style ice cream with allulose or monk fruit ingredients.
Refurb units can fail with serious issues like a burnt motor or smoking after limited use.
Cleaning can be difficult because hard-to-reach areas may contact the mix and can lead to mold concerns.
The refurb warranty is only 90 days, which can feel short compared with longer refurb warranty offers.
The CREAMi XL can be extremely loud, which may be a dealbreaker for some kitchen setups.
