This 2.1 cubic foot Frigidaire chest freezer is best for very small, secondary storage, travel, or off grid setups rather than a full garage freezer. It can fit a modest amount of meat, stock, or a few meals, and the compact footprint even works as an office end table or in a rec room. The dial includes refrigerator temperatures, and the unit is described as drawing about 75 watts while running, which makes it workable with battery backups and power stations. The main limitation is size, which leaves it too small for most grocery or family needs.

  • Apartment dwellers needing a tiny backup freezer, because it can fit a few primals or stock and works in very tight spaces.

  • People storing a small stash of frozen meals or snacks, because the 2.1-cubic-foot interior only fits a few items like Hot Pockets.

  • Travel campers running off battery power, because it draws about 75 watts and can pair with a 1500W power station.

  • Skoolie builders wanting a compact fridge conversion, because the temperature dial includes refrigerator settings and it can be run with a greenhouse controller.

  • Families or meal preppers needing bulk frozen storage, because the interior is too small for groceries and large meal batches.

  • Garage setups expecting a full-size chest freezer, because this 2.1-cubic-foot model is better as a secondary or travel unit.

  • Shoppers comparing it to a larger freezer for everyday household use, because bigger models offer far more capacity for less money.

  • Hunters or cabin owners storing whole deer, because this size would only hold about two processed deer.

2.1cu ft, I clicked because it intrigued me and thought there was an error in the title. Checked the pictures and... well... thanks for the laugh lol, its really 2.1cu ft haha. Thats comical. I guess you can stuff an 8pk of eggo waffles in there as long as you throw away the box and just keep them in the bag lol.
SO I followed your lead and thank you for the laugh.

OMG I wonder if that even accounts for the "hump" inside the freezer to accomodate the compressor and electronics???!!?!?

There are better options, look up BougeRV
you overpay for the novelty on a "camping" cooler. These are a much better deal and more refined manufacturing process, take up less space and more storage.

Can this be used a car refrigerator with a power station?
You want a dc-powered fridge for car camping, often referred to as "12v" also.

Our 7 is just right for 2 people. I literally cannot imagine having a 2cuft freezer. That's like one Costco pack of steaks.

I was going to say this. They have a 7cuft Frigidaire convertible chest freezer in black for $180. It seems to go back and forth on their stock.

This is the model, but it was running that price a week ago, again as it was end of June. Their stock seems to fluctuate. Same thing with the 2.1 cuft showing $160 online but $120 in store.

14 cuft is for a typical garage setup, this is more for secondary or travel

7 cu is usually the most common size and will fit up to 4 kegs if you build a collar

5 cu. ft. Works great in my hunting cabin. It will hold six processed deer.
This freezer would probably only hold two deer.

The Frigidaire 2.1 cu. ft. Chest Freezer draws about 75 watts while running. Your 1024Wh / 2200W LiFePO4 battery backup can easily start it (since 450W is well below the 2200W surge/continuous limit) and will run it continuously for roughly 10 to 12 hours (or 11.5 to 14 hours factoring in duty cycles where the compressor rests). I gathered the specs of both and sent it in to google for the answer. -- the 450 watts is because a post i read said compressors need 3-6 x the wattage to start as a spike in draw.
So I wonder if he used an inverter unit in the back of the car 450 W in combination with the universal power supply, and then set this in your trunk of your van. It says garage ready for extreme temperatures but I don't know about that extreme.

Edit okay so I looked a little further into it and the UPS will try to bypass and fail to take on The Surge needed, and it probably wouldn't be strong enough anyways. So you would definitely need an in-between like the lithium iron battery pack. If you have the lithium iron battery pack with the Fe in it, then it might withstand the high temperatures of the van

2.1cf is so tiny for a freezer. it may be fine for a single person in an apartment but even then, only about 2 meals could fit.
What a joke

This thread has taught me that by in large people, at least on slickdeals, have no spatial understanding. Except for the hunter who correctly surmised they could likely fit ~75lbs of processed meat in a 2cu ft space.
