Great game, but knowing capcom, this will be $20-$30 next year sometime.
You can say that of a lot of games. This hasn't dropped as fast as many of their other games. This reminded me a lot of the older re games. Pretty good on s2. I really enjoyed it.

Definitely not on Switch and I'd bet not on Steam either, the game is too successful and too well received. I just checked Steamdb and the lowest it has ever been was $55.99 on June 4.

Resident Evil 4 was released on 03/2023 and was "too successful and too well received", but was on sale for consoles for $29.99 (and cheaper for steam) just a handful of months later during black Friday and Christmas 2023. I waited exactly 2 years after release and bought RE4 for steam for $13.
Capcom games just don't hold value. I have absolutely zero doubt RE9 will drop to $20-30 within a year.

If you can get it for another console or Steam, get it. I had this for Switch 2, and it barely ran at 30 FPS. The game starts to struggle if you have more than 3 zombies on the same screen.
Game Key Card. Yuck! Well I guess that is better than Sony's future option in 2028 of just a paper code in the box.
It's funny that everyone had been ripping on key cards.
"Not buying key cards, I'll just buy it for my ps5... so I can own it forever."
"Nintendo just doesn't want my money, I'll buy the full game on a physical ps5 disc"
And many others.
****I'm not referring to.tkur comment btw. This is directed at the die hard So y fans tearing key cards apart****
š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£. My how rhetoric has changed. These PS5 fanatics can keep their physical discs forever, however WHEN their PS5 dies...they still can't play them.
And all ps5s will die. As soon as that SSD goes bad...it's toast as it's soldered into the motherboard. Or when the liquid metal dries up.and melts part of the board.
Personally, I began buying nearly everything digital. I have maybe 4 physical games for my Switch 2. And maybe 10 for Switch. I will most likely sell those once I see digital on sale cheap. I made the mistake of buying the RE Switch 2 box set with 7,8,9. They were limited...and it's a good price...but I'd rather have digital (Ive never even opened it).
I think digital is the safe way to go from here on. I e en seee No yendo keeping backward compatibility with digital.games in their future systems...and for sure Sony and MS will.
I saw the writing on the wall for Xbox about 3 years ago. I sold my system and all of my disc games in one big lot...8 had like 10-12 games. I feel really sorry for those dedicated PlayStation gamers who have discs all the way back to PS1..not sure if those still work on PS5? Work on PS4 I know. Anyway, even collections from PS4 may be absolutely huge. PS4 had a lot of fantastic games...I personally like the library from PS4 waaay better than PS5.
