Bought the black one last time they had a sale. Buttons are really meh for a mobile controller. In contrast, the Retroid Pocket 5 has better button feel and is arguably the same size/form factor.

No "home" button for Steam Link usage. Seller shipped in retail packaging with a label slapped on the box. Returning it ASAP.

I'm still waiting for a telescopic controller with a USB c interface WITH THE D-PAD UP TOP! I mainly play old games that use the d pad. I hate holding the bottom tip to use the d-pad.

I totally get that but, if you're mainly playing old games that require a D-pad, why not just go for a dedicated handheld that'll play the older games instead of using your phone and trying to find the right telescopic controller?

There are TONS of great options and I'd say carrying around a dedicated device would be way less bulky than carrying around a telescopic controller.

Anbernic RG 40XXH, for example: Horizontal form factor, pocketable, sticks there if you need them but D-Pad up top, etc.

Your phone screen is probably an order of magnitude better than any cheap handheld. In fact I was so disappointed with the screen in the ROG Ally that I bought a Backbone Pro and prefer playing games streamed from my desktop when I'm at home. Games look and play miles better.

Oooh, tempted to buy one as a spare. I very much enjoy mine.

As a sort of warning: The ribbon cable inside will eventually die from flexing when taking the controller on and off. You can find replacement cables online for cheap and it's not a very difficult repair.

Aside from replacing the cable once, I've been using mine for...maybe 3 years now? Hundreds of hours of gameplay on it.
