I'm curious how this stacks up to Foodsaver, and whether it can use those bags. There is apparently a newer version of this sealer with more power. I don't have a clue how much power is needed.

Folks! they have taken the old style, very cost effective vacuum sealers that can seal ANY sound plastic bag, and have GREAT electric seal, ENOUGH to seal and cut the bag, making the next one ready..They took that sealing tech out, and gave us this POS system that can ONLY seal bags made for sealing. I got one of these, and yes, I got one with over 92Kpa suction, and it does that part very well. BUT, It is super picky on how I put the bag, and the bags can be cheap or spend more money on bags to get a lasting seal...AND do double the work, as the seal cord does not cut your bag with heat making next bag ready.

HOW are you cutting back BETTER tech and accepting this crap?

This for a 80kpa is a bad deal. I got my 90+Kpa for less than $50 just a few months ago. Now we are justifying price by time, as inflation is burning at both ends, LOL
