Thanks. Usually on SD we write the amounts up-front to avoid surprises, so like $153.42 -46.03 coupon not automatically applied in cart. You have to log in, add to cart, then select the coupon. That's too many steps for someone who is just trying to see if the deal is alive or not.

You don't have to select a coupon, in fact you can't. It says in the description the price is after coupon which is automatically added in cart. Sorry you found it difficult or confusing.

Pay a little more for the model that comes with a communication cable so you can connect it to a pc/nas to force a shutdown when battery is low. These will just die without warning leaving pc's in an uncertain state and eventually you WILL have data loss. If this is just for network switches, routers, tv's etc it's fine but the communication one was only around $30 more.

This is the one I purchased although it no longer has the coupon I used available for it so may be another listing cheaper. Just compare to the sale one.

It's a shame that their 1000VA models have a "<20ms" transfer time. Their 1500VA models are twice as fast at "<10ms," making them a much better UPS. Uninterruptible being the key word in there.

You won't have data loss unless you are not using a journaling file system.

Most normal people are using a journaling file system (default) and won't suffer data loss from a shutdown.

Goldenmate seems to be a very responsive company. I had just purchased 2 eBay certified refurbished units (with communication) and the day they arrived eBay came out with the subsidized 30% off coupon. I reached out to them and since the coupon was subsidized by eBay they could not refund me the total difference but did offer a $50 refund which I gladly accepted so as not to have to return and repurchase. I ended up getting two more at the coupon price because there is a little price break when you buy two.

On the off chance anyone has tried using Goldenmate products with Linux, do they work with Network UPS Tools (NUT)? The supported hardware for this brand is a little sparse and just wanted to hear from people with hands on experience with the product.

confirmed they work with NUT, just installed a 1500va on my home assistant nuc
