One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

They did send up a policy balloon on that one, but it was a pretty divisive response. Not that it necessarily matters - when they found out Bond was to be Blonde, the masses revolted as well. Personally, I'd love to see Elba give it a shot.

Yeah, Idris Elba would be my first choice, he's a brilliant actor. There's some talk the next Bond might be Damien Lewis and he's a good actor but I just can't see a ginger playing Bond, he doesn't have that sexiness/suaveness factor that you expect with James Bond. If they don't cast Elba, I'll be disappointed.

Another possibility would be Tom Hardy, he's got that sexiness/suaveness thing just like Elba does. Or perhaps Richard Armitage but he's a long third choice, really like him but the other two are better actors.

Interesting about Fantastic Four, I'll wait until I can watch it outside the theater then. Also, about Transporter, I didn't know Statham was replaced? Frown Makes me sad, I love his movies, I actually found some really odd ones he did but they were decent.

That's like seeing the new Hitman: Agent 47 and it makes me not want to watch it anymore because they replaced the agent...Frown

Anybody watch anything new yet this weekend? I plan to watch Foxcatcher tomorrow, it's not new but new to me.

I just watched Foxcatcher. It was very good. A lot better than I expected. 4 1/2 stars out of 5 stars

I saw Hitman Agent 47 LMAO I know... I just said three posts ago I didn't want to watch it.

Overall, it was good but not great. I prefer the first one more. I think I'd still give it a 3.5/5.

Jupiter Descending - 3/10

Glad I fell asleep for half of it so review is not fair but who cares. Bug-eye girl's acting was terrible, probably because of her voice. Story was stupid. Everything was stupid. Save your time.
