One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) 
I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)
So what have you folks watched recently?

Amy Winehouse's parents could've done the same. Like what Amanda Bynes' parents did. You take the money for the drugs away, get them away from bad influences, and commit them to treatment involuntarily until it's under control. Heroin users don't have a high success rate no matter what - rehab is of little use to them. Rapid detox with commitment may have been a better choice for Amy.
Where you and I live a person can be committed for up to 1 year with checkpoints along the way.
Don't waste your time.
As for me, I watched Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), and Point Break (1991).

So classical
A five-year-old raised in an enclosed room sees the world for the first time.
Probably the most captivating movie I've seen in a while.
Ride - Helen Hunt made the never good decision to write, produce, direct, and star in a film. She's a surfer but she doesn't get the community and what it's all about or she never would've written such a turd of a film. Over-protective publisher mom has trouble letting go of her son and letting him go off to college or live his life. She follows him out to Cali and learns to surf. In fact too much of the film is just her learning to surf and getting lessons. I don't care for her and really question the choice of how peeing on someone's foot (jellyfish type a thing) can turn into a romantic encounter. Wtf?
