I have the GL-MT3000 Beryl AX mini router (wifi6) and, despite its intention for travel, I use it for whole-home use and works very well. I have 1 TV, 3 laptops, 3 phones, 2 Wyze cams, 2 thermostats, 1 sprinkler controller, assorted tablets etc., and use a NAS connected to its USB port. No issues with range in a 2-story typical suburban home.

How is AliExpress able to offer these GL.iNet travel routers at such discounts to everyone else? It makes me very suspicious that something nefarious is going on. I have one coming, but im thinking about purchasing it from Amazon instead and paying more. Would that be dumb to do?

Because AliExpress charges sellers less. Just the commission alone is around 5-8% on AliExpress vs. 8-15% on Amazon. Amazon also charges monthly seller fees, and fulfillment can get more expensive and restrictive with FBA.

Another reason is simply the customer base. Amazon shoppers tend to tolerate higher prices, while AliExpress shoppers are more likely to look for deals and discounts. Different customers, different pricing.

yup...which is cheaper than Amazon. Prices fluctuate quite a bit across days/weeks and can get even cheaper.
