Costco always has a gen 2, 5 pack for $100, this deal is the same price per air tag

Amazon doesn't do price matching which means I have to return yesterday's $85 purchase and rebuy and reship for $80. They really should rethink this.

while every apple product price went up this is probably the only few that wont be impact by the memory price increase.

Nice! I bought this yesterday for 85 like the poster above. Thankfully I choose a delayed delivery for 6% back on my Amazon credit card so it had not shipped. I cancelled and reordered!

Is there any benefit to these over say the UGreen Air Trackers Tags that are on sale for $20 for 4?

you may have done it in the past but for many months now. they have stop offering price matching. it literally says it on their support when you try to contact them "Sorry, we don't offer price matching. If you find a lower price after your purchase, you can always return the item and buy it again at the new price."

I don't know if ugreen air trackers are like this, but I have a few flyruit trackers and they are more akin to gen1 airtags. So you can't do precision finding and can't ping them with your apple watch

I bought the Ugreen 4 packs last month for the same price and set two of those with my kids iphone. You use the Find My app just like the original airtags and the setup is easy. Ugreen does not have precision finding meaning if you are within few feet of the tracker, Find My wont point directions with arrows like the airtags. But the Ugreen ones have very loud speakers that can be heard from 50 ft or more away. So you can just play sound from your iphone to locate it. Distant finding works the same way and shows location on maps.
