doesn't appear to be all solid wood just the top.
"D-16E features a solid Sitka spruce top which provides a balanced tone with articulate highs, warm midrange and rich bass. The back and sides are made of East Indian rosewood"
Phillip McKnight did very complimentary review of this guitar and his wife said that she likes the sound of this more than any other acoustic he owns. According to his review, back and sides are solid rosewood, but IDK where he'd got that information.
