Barilla Protein+ Penne is a plant based protein pasta deal that looks strong on price, with the 12 pack listed at $2.84 and Subscribe and Save dropping it to $2.70. The price also compares favorably with Costco or Sam's, and the deal has sat near this level for months. The main issue is fulfillment, since multiple orders arrived as a single box instead of the advertised 12 pack, sometimes crushed or damaged, and refunds or replacements were inconsistent. A tempting price, but the quantity risk is real.
Food-product refunds can be issued without requiring a return after receiving only one box.
Subscribe & Save checkout can apply an extra 5% discount to the 12-pack price.
The deal price has reportedly stayed at or below this level for the last few months.
Orders can arrive as a single 14.5oz box instead of the advertised 12-pack quantity.
Delivered packaging can arrive crushed, sticky, or with faded ink, which can make the product unusable.
Some orders can show unavailable for delivery, which may indicate the 12-pack price offer is not honored.
Food safety regulations can limit returns or exchanges, increasing deal risk if fulfillment is wrong.

Not sure that much time is worth $2.84, but hey, worth a shot if you're game.
Sitting this one out, too much of a potential penne in the ass!

I ordered 4.
If they ship 48 of them, 40 will get donated to the local food pantry.
If they ship 4, I'll provide Amazon the screenshots showing "Size 14.5 Count (Pack of 12)" and I'll get a refund and get to keep the 4 boxes.
