This Warping Point paddle looks like a strong low cost step up for beginners and intermediate players, with raw carbon fiber feel, good spin, and plenty of power. The 13 millimeter core gives a livelier, harder hitting response that suits players moving beyond starter sets, and the surface grit is called out as a big part of the spin. The main caution is that the thinner build favors power over control, so it is less forgiving for learning. It reads as a solid upgrade if you want more performance without spending much.

Common Questions (3)

  • Yes, it's a strong budget option for beginners through intermediate players, especially as a first upgrade from starter sets. The 13mm build plays more power-forward than control-focused, so thicker 16mm paddles are usually easier for learning, but this one is still a solid step up for the price.

  • No. The discount code works only if the free balls are not added, because adding the balls can kick the code out at checkout, so you can use the code or get the free balls but not both.

    WildstarDBGmarvin83tonyGR8pur

  • The paddle is reported to deliver strong power and spin, with the raw carbon fiber surface helping generate more bite on the ball. The 13mm core also makes it livelier and more power-oriented, while spin depends more on the surface grit than thickness alone.

If you have been playing pretty consistently and improving, you will notice a difference when leaving the bundle SLK packs. Your next paddle will probably be something like this Warping Point. $20 is a good price point and you will see what the next level technology feels like. This should hold you over until you decide what your next paddle/price point will be. This Warping Point is probably a gen 1.5/2 paddle. There is a big difference from set paddles to this. After that you would be looking at Gen 3/4 paddles around $70-300. Its a good step up without getting too invested or spending $$.Let me know if you have any questions.
So instead should I try to buy the Friday Fever when they have the 2 for 99 offer or just go with the grasp 13mm here for $20 ?

I've been playing pickleball for 14 years. These are solid paddles. This will be the third one I've purchased. I am completely surprised by how well they play.

Doesn't seem to be working anymore. There are two options, 13 and 20mm and both don't accept the code.

M79VIYJN still seems to work. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button).

Friday is usually 2/$100 for their original. Occasional deals on the fever such as 2/$160 plus a free gift (original paddle). Then the question is Fever gen 3 for ~ $60 or gen 1 for $20.

Get both. Gen 1 until a Friday deal comes up. The $20 paddle will greatly change your game. Significantly more spin, pop, control, feel. The fever will dial in your game as you get better. Focused on power, touch, pop. Etc.

Anything under $80 is a waste of time. Once you start playing you'll be frustrated and get a better paddle.

Lol, I'd bet you my house that I could lose just as well with this as the most expensive paddle you could point out. I'm never going to get all in on it but having something better than a basic b wooden amazon 4 for $20 paddle will be fine for someone like me, though the wooden ones have done me well (just get a bit dented and chipping)

Should have bought 2! Really fun hard hitting.
I have Joola Selkirk and about 12 paddles in my car but grab this one now.
