Just FYI you can easily find the lowest priced items at Harbor Freight. Do a search on "*" (asterisk, the wildcard character). Then sort by price low. On other sites asterisk, NULL or {null} might work to get a list of all items for sale on the site.

At $5 a gallon, I sure would not drive up to HF 3 times.

But if I already was there, I certainly would get back into line 2 more times.

....and again, HF does not care. If they did, the computer would flag that you had already got your free item; and it doesn't.

Yes. The step drills are nice. Always use oil and reduce speed when working with metal. Let the mass of the tool do the work. This is not a convention drill bit that you can sharpen forever. The Warrior HSS is not the best, but it will get the job done with moderate cutting speed and adequate lubrication.

Keep it lubed, even cooking oil is fine.

Check for a burr on the bit, if there is, remove it with a sharpening stone.

My store in Oregon is always out of at least one item the first day.
Second day, all freebies are gone by midday; hit-or-miss with the free buckets.

Need to shop early; that's if you really need anything. I always look at the returned discounted items and find some good deals once in a while.
