Years ago I bought a $200 flashlight. It has always been within 12ft of my living room and has never left the house. I couldn't imagine losing it or a +$100 knife in the woods.

I don't see the value in paying nearly $200 for a knife., especially when a fine D2 steel flip knife can be bought for $25 or so. Perhaps if you're a metallurgy enthusiast, have disposable income, then sure... to each their own.
