This Forza Horizon 6 limited edition Xbox Wireless Controller stands out for its grip and collectible styling, with the textured feel drawing praise even against older Xbox versions. The design is also compared unfavorably with the Forza Horizon 5 edition, and the finish is not to every taste. Reliability concerns center on early stick drift and occasional bumper wear, while some sealed boxes arrived with broken seals or odd tape and color mismatches. It reads like a flashy special edition with strong handling, but durability and packaging quality are the main watchouts.
Players who want a controller with standout grip, because the textured shell feels better in hand than the previous version.
Stick drift has been reported on some units, including early drift and a failure after 14 months. Other Xbox controllers have gone years without drift, so wear appears to depend heavily on use and game style, especially twitchy FPS play.
It is reported to feel less heavy-duty and less grippy than the FH5 version, and one comment calls it not as good as the FH5 controller. The grip is still praised by another user, who calls it the best grip of any controller.
One comment says the $75 price feels like an extra charge, and another would pass because the graphics are not appealing. The deal is mainly attractive if you want the limited-edition design and can accept the reported build and packaging concerns.
Several purchases arrived with seals already broken or basically broken, even when the controllers appeared new. That makes it worth checking the box carefully on arrival, especially if buying from a retailer where sealed packaging matters to you.
I think I agree, doesn't feel as heavy duty or grippy as the last version. Also, the two controllers I got from Target both had the seal broke. Seemed to be in new condition but that was something I expected from GameStop, not Target
I dunno what people are doing to these controllers and how they get abused. I have 2 original series x controllers and 3 elite controllers for many years now. Stick drift is not a problem. The controller will start falling apart before stick drift happens.

Depends on the games you play or if you have children using them. Twitchy fps where hard flicking is a must will wear them down quicker. Personally I havent had a drift issue since v3 xbone controllers.

I take care of my my stuff and I'm not a heavy gamer but I had a controller get stick drift after 14 months. OEM controllers aren't as good as they used to be. It is at the point that 3rd party controllers last longer, have extra features and cost less money.

Only had it happen once out of all the Xbox controllers I've had which has been a lot over the years. Ironically, it was an Elite Series 1. I've had more issues with the stupid ass RB than anything else.

Yea I only game occasionally but my 25 year anniversary Xbox controller developed it which was very frustrating. Surprisingly my switch controllers have not developed it, and the kids play on that a lot.

I bought 5 of these from lenovo(I had some reward credit) and 4/5 had seals that were basically broken. The tape they used wasn't right or something else caused this defect. Also, the box had a mis-coloration where the tape was supposed to be and it looked weird. I think they cheaped out on the seals.
