I think I agree, doesn't feel as heavy duty or grippy as the last version. Also, the two controllers I got from Target both had the seal broke. Seemed to be in new condition but that was something I expected from GameStop, not Target
I dunno what people are doing to these controllers and how they get abused. I have 2 original series x controllers and 3 elite controllers for many years now. Stick drift is not a problem. The controller will start falling apart before stick drift happens.

Depends on the games you play or if you have children using them. Twitchy fps where hard flicking is a must will wear them down quicker. Personally I havent had a drift issue since v3 xbone controllers.

I take care of my my stuff and I'm not a heavy gamer but I had a controller get stick drift after 14 months. OEM controllers aren't as good as they used to be. It is at the point that 3rd party controllers last longer, have extra features and cost less money.

Only had it happen once out of all the Xbox controllers I've had which has been a lot over the years. Ironically, it was an Elite Series 1. I've had more issues with the stupid ass RB than anything else.

Yea I only game occasionally but my 25 year anniversary Xbox controller developed it which was very frustrating. Surprisingly my switch controllers have not developed it, and the kids play on that a lot.
