Decent deal but the glinet flint 3 was just $117 and it has a 6ghz band, which this doesn't. And in most people's opinions the glinet software (fork of openwrt) is superior to asuswrt

So that's fine for people who actually have enough devices that can even utilize 6ghz which rules out 98% of devices. My biggest problem with this router is the 512mb of ram. That means it's probably gonna have issues if you connect more than 22-25 devices. Like smart TVs, smart plugs, WiFi cameras, computers, tablets, if you have a house hold that does regular zoom calls, anything above that number will see regular connection blips probably. But i doubt that's most people. The RT BE58 has double the memory and sometimes you can find them for this price or less. Or Amazon renewed.

The flint 3 is pretty great, and most a lot of people have phones that can do 6GHz bands now. iPhone 15 Pro had 6GHz, iphone 16 made it across the lineup, and 17 continues to have the feature. Wifi 7 bandwidth on a phone is pretty impressive.

Flint 3 had 1GByte of DDR4 and 8 GByte of eMMC. Though routers with 2GByte can do a bit better if your doing VPN tasks especially (the Flint 4 is a monster in comparison, much faster class of ARM core and 2xDRAM).
