It was surprisingly difficult to find luggage with these dimensions without spending $$$. I personally used this exact model on trips to Japan and the Philippines, flying with All Nippon Airways (ANA), Korean Air, and AirAsia, and they were perfect. I had no issues with the size, and they worked great for international travel.
If you're traveling internationally and want to avoid paying oversized fees, the medium-sized checked bag is really all you need. Great value for the money.
