Product Description
  • One of the most popular glass inventions from Hario is their glass coffee dripper, the Hario V60. The Hario V60 is a cone pour-over brewer which has been specially designed to produce an evenly brewed cup of coffee. The V60 is one of the most popular manual coffee brewers on the market today. Why the cone shape? The cone shaped paper filter adds depth to the coffee layer, so that the water flows to the center, extending the amount of time it is in contact with the ground coffee. The brand recognized by Coffee Geeks worldwide.

Good deal for this item and I have another version of the glass V60, but honestly prefer the plastic one. There's no real benefit of using glass over plastic; its heavier, takes more thermal mass to warmup, and is of course fragile. I use my plastic V60 over the glass one all the time.

Agree - love my v60 drip decanter. Glass base, plastic v60. I've heard the same about the glass but good if you're avoiding plastic and don't mind the preheat.

i think the main benefit is you don't have to worry about leaching microplastics which WILL happen eventually after long use. If the plastic starts looking cloudy or scratched up then it's shedding plastics.

These are great. Hario makes top quality items. I'd only suggest that you perhaps alternately consider the Hario "Switch", which, although more costly, is also currently discounted. It's my daily driver, and to me, it's less hassle to use and extracts more flavor and richness from your coffee grounds.

This. I'm not really worried about my plastics exposure overall, but I want to eliminate it where the plastic is heated up. I actually got a Hario Switch just for that reason. Just started using it. I'd recommend the Switch over the v60 because you can do a LOT more, but it's not sale right now.

I too was always team plastic until I got a switch, which made that preheat process easier. Imo a big benefit of this deal is to have a backup base for switch users in case of a drop that's only a clumsy morning away

I have been using the Neo. It is a more pleasant experience than the standard plastic one. It is a thicker plastic and feels more premium. It also has a rubber base and it sets on the cup sturdier and doesn't have that clanging sound of plastic on glass.
