Community Reviews

This refurbished 14TB Toshiba enterprise drive is aimed at cheap bulk storage, but the current price sits well above past refurb pricing. The drive itself has a strong reliability track record in long running NAS and server setups, with examples of multi drive arrays running 24 7 for years and clean SMART health on a recent unit. Warranty support has also been handled through RMA for replacement. The main drawback is value, since similar drives were bought far cheaper before, and one drive from the seller failed after a little over a year with no warranty.

I had a drive fail from this company recently. Last a little over a year. No warranty.

They were never $10/TB. You were lucky to find an 8TB on sale for $99 at the trough of low HDD pricing. The average price was always around $20/TB
Recertified drives were hovering at the $10/TB level for a while.

I have decided to just lower my use of HDD space by improving my own memory. Let's see where that gets me. Wink
