Edit: Mine have turned out to be perfect, bo scratch, no nitty gritty. Will buy AC and be set for 2 yrs

Both pairs look new, clean (No Free Ear Wax) no scratches on the case or either of the ear buds. Although the OG box had packing tape to tape them shut and ripped up paper on the box when opening and it looked like it had been handled (slightly dirty)
Both paired fine, no attatched Apple accounts on either, both had remaining warranty. One until April 2027, the other May 2027.
Verdict: great for yourself or someone who knows what open box is. (Don't expect new packaging). Maybe not the best if you're looking to give as a special gift due to the packaging appearance.
They sound great as well as look new. For $144 I'd say it was a good value.
