How important are the different types of peptides? I've heard of I, II, III, and X.

Not dead. Just ordered via S&S. You need to check the coupon box if it shows on the page. If not then sorry, you miss out this time. :-(

Collagen peptides are categorized by type, with each serving distinct structural roles in the body. Type I is the most abundant, providing structure and elasticity to skin, hair, nails, bones, tendons, and ligaments. Type II is primarily found in cartilage, supporting joint cushioning, comfort, and flexibility. Type III works alongside Type I in skin, muscles, and blood vessels to support firmness and resilience.

Type V supports the structural framework for other collagens in hair, skin layers, and cell surfaces, while Type X is associated with bone and cartilage formation, aiding joint and connective tissue health. Type IV provides structure and filtration support in thin tissue layers that support organs. Multi-collagen supplements often blend Types I, II, III, V, and X to offer broad support for both skin and joint health simultaneously.

Very concise reply; matches what I learned 12 years ago when neurologist strongly encouraged me to take this daily combination as you listed!

Why such a massive discount? Is something wrong with it? Close to expiration date? Maybe it's not authentic collagen?

I'm tired of looking ugly and want to buy this but anyone have any info on the "peptan" ingredient? I looked it up and saw they are French, so should be clean, oui? Any insight?
