Nothing Headphone (a) stands out as a well built, comfortable wireless ANC headset with strong battery life and generally good sound. The black color has been the best value in the thread, with the bundle dropping it to about $77 before tax and the vinyl add on pushing totals into the low 90s. Build quality and comfort get repeated praise, and the sound is often preferred over Sony ULT, especially outside bass heavy listening. The main knocks are weak bass for some ears, mediocre ANC in a few takes, and no audio passthrough or charging while listening, so the battery matters more than the long rating suggests.
Common Questions (5)
The black version was reported at $77.67 after discount, with the vinyl bundle bringing the total to about $92 with tax or around $97 in another checkout. Black was also noted as $10 less than the other colors.
They can sound better overall than Sony ULT, but the ULT is preferred for bass and is reported to have slightly better ANC. If you listen to bass-heavy music, the ULT may fit better; if not, the Nothing Headphone (a) are a strong choice.
Yes. They're described as built well and comfy, with a solid feel that stands out versus cheaper-feeling alternatives. That makes them a better pick if you care about comfort and build quality for long listening sessions.
No. They do not support audio passthrough when the battery is dead, so once the battery fails or runs out you cannot keep listening passively over a wired connection.
Battery life is rated at 135 hours with ANC off and 75 hours with ANC on. That makes battery life a strong point and reduces how often you need to recharge.
