The spec looks fantastic, if you are ok with the weight.

For the specs that's a bargain especially w the prices of memory ... only draw backs are weight, loudness and heating ... all which can be resolved w minimal additions

I had an intel 13th gen 285HX MSI Raider laptop for work with a 4070 and that was the nicest laptop I've ever had. I'd buy this in a heartbeat if I was shopping for a laptop right now.

Used it for multiple language translations. The i7 I had took 12+ minutes per language, and the i9 285hx did each language in under 3 minutes. It was impressive.

Here's a discussion about it awhile ago when it came out. I have the one in this post but with the 5090, also through Costco. I got the warranty through Costco too.

It's not that loud. I have the 5090 version and I was surprised how quiet the fans were at full throttle. Yes it is heavy, but aren't most 18" laptops? It does get warm, but then again, so does most laptops with a GPU. My old legion 16 with is louder and runs hot, even after repasting

Is this a good computer for an 8 year old to play Roblox on? Yeah sorry couldn't help myself after reading too many laptop threads.
