attempting to regain customers through bombardment of promos after bad customer service, cutting portions, etc

They got successful and got greedy. Everyone needs to stop going so they can fail and something better can start up to fill the gap. The business circle of life.
portions were good but I just hated that fact that they "upcharged" for guac. it was IIRC $1.50? $2?
I forget, but I do remember being in college and not adding it because it was too damn expensive.
I ate at Qdoba a lot back then. extremely similar restaurant for sure, and they didn't charge extra for guac. Qdoba won my business just off of that personal priciple.
I watched a YT examination of Chipotle and their downfall, Yes they got successful, yes they got greedy (stock market)
But the decrease in portions according to the documentary was because of investment bankers/hedge funds sqeezing and extracting every penny to maximize profits/returns.
The OG founders were kicked out of the company and the portions started to get smaller ever since.
P.S. You can be successful and greedy (IN-N-OUT burger) just not extravagantly greedy. Owners of IN-N-OUT are (reportedly) billionaires and they're a private company.
IMHO once you list on the Stock Market, get ready for major changes (for better and worse)
