The amp is indeed garbage. I bought these exact speakers for my oldest kids car. Tested them out in my vehicle with a 1600 W kicker amp. They slam. Sound absolutely amazing with country, rock/grunge , EDM, freestyle, etc Me personally, I would buy this and sell the amp and wiring kit on marketplace for $120-$150. Put that money towards a higher quality amp and wiring kit and this would be a pretty decent deal.
