One reviewer tried lifting an 8 lb. steel object. Only the "80 lb." magnet could lift it, and just barely.

But I was really hoping for a $10 magnet so strong that I can't reasonably remove the objects I pick up.
The description is a bad joke, but imagine having to apply 80# of force to remove the item you dropped.

Y'all know there's a big physics difference between lifting weight and pulling weight? The numbers quoted are for pulling weight, not lifting weight.

That's true. Some are confused on the difference. That's they display a hammer for the 80lb pulling weight.

Prob 50lbs without it easily breaking contact. . At or near the max a minor change in angle of pulling will often cause it to break away
