Probably the only M12 purchase I regret tbh, the times I've broken this out thinking it would help it has never had enough oompf. I'm waiting for the next time I need it to try it with the new 5ah HOs as included in this deal, supposedly it hits a little harder with them on board, but overall this tool has been somewhat disappointing, a slightly longer breaker bar even in a limited swing is usually more useful.

I'm surprised by this. I have both the 3/8 ratchet and this impact wrench, and this is my go to.

I agree with you 100%. Purchased this when it first came out thinking it would be a game changer. My biggest issue is lack of power and alse really heavy. Been sitting in my drawer collecting dust.

Same, I sold mine shortly after trying it a few times. Never had enough power and compared to the stubby it wasn't much overall size difference. Always reached for the stubby over this.

As others have said, I love this tool, it's great for tight spaces where nothing else fits, but it really needs a Gen 2 with a few more beans. Not a bad buy at this price with the 5.0 battery, but be aware of what you're getting.

Also, if you need more torque, but don't need something with this exact profile, the new stubby 3/8 is the same price today with this battery.

Which ratchet model? The Fuel High Speed is my go to which frankly hits hard for a ratchet, and if I need oompf it's the gen 2 stubby impact wrench, which as others stated, often will fit. They even have the "sub compact" now which is the gen 1 stubby torque spec in a smaller body.

Pretty sure it's a gen 1.

I have found the same. It just doesn't have it to make it worth grabbing.
