Free shipping. If you sign up for a Lowe's account at checkout you get a $5 coupon that stacks as well. The batteries are currently $79.95 on sale right now for a 2 pack. I'm not invested in Kobalt but the Milwaukee 12v fuel blower is a weenie so this is the value play for normal use.

Bought this last time it was posted. Very happy with the blower.

The USB-C batteries included with this are recalled. Just received my replacements in the mail. Two new 4Ah batteries, but no USB-C port on the battery itself. They also included a separate adapter so you could charge via USB-C.

EDIT: The photos show the updated batteries, but I bought mine like 2 months ago. So unless all Lowes locations updated their stock, I'd say it's 50/50 which version you'd get.

Kobalt had a big USB-C battery recall last year. Hopefully they have improved. Be sure to keep your receipt. Write the year on the battery as you get a 3 year warranty. Air blowers are notorious for killing batteries so be sure to not run it below 1 bar. If you do end up needing to warranty the battery be sure to call Kobalt to get a RMA before showing up to Lowes (who owns the brand). In the past they used to swap you out for a new battery, last time I had to fight them even with the RMA in hand and they ended up low ball prorating the battery price as a refund with me having to pay a fortune for a replacement battery.

man i was really hoping for a dewalt blower deal because I am like 50/50 between DeWalt and Mikita battery/tool ecosystem but this is a crazy deal and has better specs that most $200+ dollar blowers.

Not OP but they send you a return package to send the old ones. I imagine you get hit with extra charges if you kept both.

I'm pretty sure you're required to give them back. If not they'll certainly be loads of recalled batteries on Facebook and a likely lawsuit after one of them causes harm

Curious - why would someone buy the one below over this one? It seems more expensive for only slightly more power. Am I missing something?

Same here, but I haven't returned my batteries yet.

The one you sent uses one 80v battery to operate. The one in this post requires two 24v batteries, which are the same batteries for most of the Cobalt tool line. There are probably other differences as well, but it is an advantage to buy this one if you have other 24v Cobalt tools.

Edit: I guess I didn't really answer your question. People might buy the 80v tool if they were already invested in some of the other 80v tools (chainsaw, mower, etc)

The batteries are the same. They just covered up the USB c port.
The batteries couldn't handle charging via USB c while plugged into a tool.

So don't use the USB c port while the battery is installed in a tool.
