This mini power bank stands out for its very small travel-friendly size and 22.5W charging, with the black unit described as working well and feeling compact for its capacity. The main concerns are safety and labeling. The VT103 model was recalled for fire and burn hazards, with white, pink, and purple units named in the recall, and the lack of a built-in USB C cable is a deal breaker for some. There is also confusion over the capacity label, with the box showing 1000mAh in one case while the battery itself is marked 10000mAh and 38.5Wh.

  • People who need a tiny backup battery for occasional top-ups, because the compact size is praised and the unit can work fine in daily use.

  • Travelers wanting a pocketable charger for light carry, because it is very small for its capacity and fits compact travel use.

  • Shoppers who want a small power bank with a built-in USB-C cable, because this model does not include one and that is a deal breaker for them.

  • Buyers who need a clearly labeled 10,000mAh battery, because the packaging can show 1000mAh instead of 10000mAh.

  • Safety-conscious buyers who want a power bank with no fire risk, because this model was recalled for fire and burn hazards.

  • People who need a charger with a built-in USB-C cable, because this model has no built-in USB-C cable.

Lot of shills in this thread.
How ? It's great and half of them are steering people away by referencing a recall that doesn't involve the is specific item . Yes other versions with the same model number do have a recall.

I paid $15 and I'm buying another

Lots of two word positive replies from users with hardly any post count.

I just posted in the Lisen thread. I do not get how that has 379 upvotes and only 2 pages of comments. I've been on Slickdeals long enough to know when something smells fishy

I am not saying this is a bad product, and I wasnt the one to say there are shills here but it does seem that way if you look at most of the posts, other than yours

I bought this a while back and has become my favorite compact travel charger. Love how small this thing is for its capacity. Here is a pretty good shootout of several powerbanks that reviews this model. https://youtu.be/gMIZixr7UFU?is=J1OHeeplyNzWymTp

I did not know about the recall but I have a black one. It's been flawless for me.

Be warned: The item (model VT103) was recalled by the Consumer Safety Product Commission in April 2026

Just got this today. The box says 1000mAh when it is supposed to be 10000mAh?

Anyone have a recommendation for a CCC certified power bank? Are they even available in the US?
I needed a CCC certified one as well and bought this Baseus model - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYCN88HY. It's a bit heavier than I'd like, but not bad, and has otherwise been fine so far. There are a couple of other brands on Amazon that also sell CCC certified models, but not a lot.

It might be a misprint. 1000mAh won't be able to charge your phone even 1/4-1/3.

Yeah. Someone posted a review with the photo of the box and it shows 10000 on the actual battery. But still, that's kind of sketch

Check the back of the battery. Mine (which I got a while back) says 10000mAh AND 38.5Wh - which is about the same.

Read how it caught fire and almost burned down their house and battery bulging the case and old USB port. Thanks, but hard pass on buying unsafe products.
