I like Sony's over year headphones, but I refuse to buy their buds after I had 2 different pairs of XM4s brick. Hundreds of dollars down the drain.

I have both the XM5 and XM6. The XM5 to my ears have better tonal balance and are lighter and smaller so they stick in my ears even when running. The XM6 reqquires equalization to get to the right tonal balance, are bigger. The only advantage of the XM6 is they have better microphones for talking on phone calls.

Don't recommend Sony buds, especially used. They are made to fail. I've had 3 pairs and if you're fortunate they will give out within a year. But likely will be just a few months after...leaving you with an expensive paperweight.

Honestly I'm done with all buds except apple/airpods. They were my last choice. I hate apple products. Don't own any. But they are actually made to last and applecare basically gives you 3 year warranty. I'm coming up on 2 years with mine and zero issues. They clearly are incentived to build them to last more than 3 years, which tells you a lot.
