I bought another generic portable pump, not sure if this will be the same. It works well but inflating a bike tire from near flat to 30psi, the metal end of the pump hose was so hot it burned my finger. I noticed some of the more expensive models have built in cooling mechanisms. I don't think it will be an issue if you are just topping off or filling one tire but I'd be concerned with over hearing if running for more than 1-2m straight, especially for something like a car tire.
