Voting with my wallet against this junk. Thunderbolt/USB4 was designed to be backwards compatible.
I could understand no TB1. I could live with no TB2. Not working with TB3 is unreasonable.
But not working with the USB4/TB4 on an 11th Gen is a spec violation. Bleep these guys.
If you can't actually make it USB4 compatible fully, what else did you totally mess up that will cook me suddenly?

- Driver Integration: 11th Gen systems rely primarily on Intel's custom drivers, whereas 12th Gen platforms add native support for Windows 11 USB4 host drivers.
- PCIe tunneling is mandatory for Thunderbolt 4, but optional for USB4. Without it, a device cannot support advanced external accessories like external GPUs (eGPUs) or certain high-performance PCIe-based storage enclosures.
As for the limitations on which NVMEs can be used... (Not recommended for use with Crucial-P3 Plus, WD Black SN750 and Samsung 970 EVO Plus.)... I have no idea, except maybe it can't cool them or they are too thick. 🤷 ♂️Basically, I see this adapter as having the minimum requirements to put USB4 in the name.
