I just did the math. Citi points are worth 1.00 pennies each. This improves the value to 1.15, which is good; but better is available.

1.3-1.4 can be had with their points transfer to airlines and hotel groups. I would check those first before blowing your points on Apple Cards.

If you DO want Apple, historically (including last year), Citi does 20% for Apple Card's on Cyber Monday, the Monday after Black Friday. You can search SD for historical data on that. That's your best bet to maximize Citi points on Apple products.

Value is 1.18 since it's 15% less points, not 15% bonus points. Rest is true though you can probably do a little better on AA or other airlines in J

Your math is right, but getting an Apple product or paying for iCloud is more of a necessity for me than booking an expensive hotel, not to mention the iPhone 18 is launching just a few months before BF and Cyber Monday.

I'm buying my iPhone 18 after cyber Monday and waiting for the better points offer. Just need to suffer the abysmal battery performance in my 15 pro a couple extra months.

I understand. I used my first large amount of Citi points on Apple Cards. This is why I added the last section about how to maximize Apple points. Another trick that doesn't work anymore was Dollar General 15% off GameStop -> GameStop to Apple Cards, but they've caught on to that one now.

Citi points worths way more than 1 cent per point, if you transfer to AA or Cathay

Citi has done the annual Black Friday 20% Citi ThankYou Rewards promo every year (includes Apple). Not saying they won't get rid of it this year, but something to keep in mind.
