Very strong chemical scent. Don't stock up on these until you try one first. I liked it well enough initially but it got old quick.

The 4-pack for $9.58 is cheaper than just buying one. I use these every few months so a 4-pack should last you a year. As previous poster said, this does leave a lasting clean scent in your dishwasher. I'm not a fan of scented products, but this one doesn't bother me too much.

How are you getting 4 pack for $9.58? I'm seeing $11.98 or $11.38 with S&S.

There is a check box to "clip" a coupon that brings the 4-pack down to $9.58. I'm using Chrome on the Amazon website and it showed up for me and disappeared several times. Something weird is going on with the coupons on the listing.

EDIT - I don't see the coupon on the 4-pack any longer.

FYI, this is just Citric Acid. Not worth the cost for a table spoon of it in blue water and synthetic fragrance. Instead buy 2lb bag of food grade citric acid for ~$10ish and it will last forever. However, you can't beat the convenience factor, so get it for that.

You only use them once a quarter and the smell dissipates after a few runs.How often are you running these that the chemical smell is offending you.For what it's worth, the smell to me is clean and they clean the dishwasher very well. I can do without the lingering smell on my dishes from the first few cycles after using these, but I do t find that to be a deal breaker by any means.

Citric acid works great as a softener and tub cleaner for washing machine too. They also clean inside electric kettles. So many more uses. I would only use this if dishwasher condition is bad and there is odor you can't remove. For general cleaning use citric acid
