This dishwasher cleaner is mainly valued for convenience and a strong cleaning effect, with a citric acid formula that leaves the tub smelling clean after use. The scent can linger for a few cycles, and the chemical fragrance is strong enough that trying one first makes sense before stocking up. The coupon and Subscribe and Save pricing appear inconsistent, and the discounted 4 pack still costs more than buying bulk citric acid. It is a handy option when the dishwasher needs a deeper refresh.

  • The cleaner can leave a lasting clean scent inside the dishwasher after use.

    IvoryCadenza

  • The cleaner can clean the dishwasher very well when used periodically.

    MX400ex72

  • The product can be convenient because it is essentially citric acid in a ready-to-use format.

    BornToBargain

  • Citric acid can also be used for other household cleaning tasks beyond dishwashers.

    Ilovedeals

  • The chemical scent can be very strong and may get old quickly.

    J03

  • The coupon experience can be inconsistent, with the clip option appearing and disappearing on the listing.

    IvoryCadenza

  • The discounted price can still be more expensive than buying a multipack alternative.

    TexTexTex

  • The product may be less cost-effective because it is only citric acid used in small amounts.

Very strong chemical scent. Don't stock up on these until you try one first. I liked it well enough initially but it got old quick.

The 4-pack for $9.58 is cheaper than just buying one. I use these every few months so a 4-pack should last you a year. As previous poster said, this does leave a lasting clean scent in your dishwasher. I'm not a fan of scented products, but this one doesn't bother me too much.

How are you getting 4 pack for $9.58? I'm seeing $11.98 or $11.38 with S&S.

Once selected, the coupon price of $9.58 is available for the 4 pack.

There is a check box to "clip" a coupon that brings the 4-pack down to $9.58. I'm using Chrome on the Amazon website and it showed up for me and disappeared several times. Something weird is going on with the coupons on the listing.

EDIT - I don't see the coupon on the 4-pack any longer.

Hmm... I'm not seeing anything applying to the 4 pack or 8 pack. Oh well.

Agree with trying first, but even this discounted price is a good bit more expensive than a multipack.

The coupon only seems to apply to the 4-pack without S&S selected.

FYI, this is just Citric Acid. Not worth the cost for a table spoon of it in blue water and synthetic fragrance. Instead buy 2lb bag of food grade citric acid for ~$10ish and it will last forever. However, you can't beat the convenience factor, so get it for that.

You only use them once a quarter and the smell dissipates after a few runs. How often are you running these that the chemical smell is offending you.For what it's worth, the smell to me is clean and they clean the dishwasher very well. I can do without the lingering smell on my dishes from the first few cycles after using these, but I do t find that to be a deal breaker by any means.

Citric acid works great as a softener and tub cleaner for washing machine too. They also clean inside electric kettles. So many more uses. I would only use this if dishwasher condition is bad and there is odor you can't remove. For general cleaning use citric acid

or you could just use vinegar and baking soda like the manufacturer suggests
