Agree with this. Also if you look at some of the other SD posts about Philips they are now a Chinese company and their customer service is absolutely the worst. I bought a machine directly from them on a BF deal and absolutely did not like the machine as well as the coffee it made. I took advantage of their 30-day money back guarantee and sent it back. They literally would not issue a refund after sending pictures and the tracking number showing it had been returned. I won my credit card dispute after fighting with them for 3 months and for these reasons I no longer buy Phillips products. I try to warn people about Phillips every time I see a post about one of their products. Dyson is my other hate but that's in another thread Smilie.

Same. It's probably the second most used small appliance in the kitchen. This is also half the price of the expired Delonghi deal. There are settings you can apply to make the espresso shots stronger. I bought it from the last deal as well.

Now, if you are mixing your espresso with milk products or sugar mixes, then any machine is going to be fine. And you can use sh!t coffee and you'll never know the difference. I now own a Gaggia Accademia and a Jura E6 (at different locations). Both are excellent machines..but also 5 to 7x the price of this phillips. And my daily driver beans are Lavazza Espresso, the brown bag. Another great bean is the Whole Latte Love crema wave...at double the price.

I can tell you get frustrated just like me, when you get an espresso from Starbucks, and they use 2 cups, to get rid of the "foam". Freedom coffee sucks unless you make it yourself.

I have had mine for 2 years and have had no issues. It does everything perfectly acceptable, but nothing great. For most people it will work for their needs. Coffee nerds will need to look elsewhere.

I've had this machine for three or four years and use it every day. Other than having to replace the grinder motor (easy), it's been really reliable. I've used a lot of commercial espresso machines and don't think it quite matches their brew strength but it's not that far off and I'll happily sacrifice that little bit for the convenience. Seriously thinking about buying one of these for a backup.

Got this for my wife for Christmas 2020, and she absolutely loves it. She uses it daily. Maybe it's changed in the last 5-6 years, but the one we have is fantastic. She loves that she just pushes a button and lets it do its thing.

I got one of the machines in November. The thing looked new and had all unopened parts like the milk frother but the brew group latch on the inside has been broken right off so the brew group didn't lock into place. Was able to find an easy solution to fix it on Reddit and got a $47 refund from Amazon. Total price $171 and it's been running great. Are there better machines out there? Sure, but this works well for my needs and was a great price.

I pulled the trigger and then cancelled. The price really grabbed my attention. The problem is I just don't need it. $200 for a superauto with an integrated frother seems like a steal.

The only thing I'm wary of is they seem have a lot of them "like new". A lot of people bought and decided not to keep it...🤔

Skill issue. Even the manual says you need to pull 50 to 100 shots which is kind of a crazy expectation for a break-in period. That's a lot of beans down the drain.

I bought this a couple months ago and returned it. Espresso quality is decent once you set grinder to finest, max coffee dose and minimize water volume. This gets you into decent lungo territory.

The biggest downside for me was the milk frother. It has that distinct overheated milk taste and there's no way to fix it.

I'd probably but this machine again if there was a similar deal on the manual steam wand version.
