As an airline pilot, this is something I use weekly and they can take a lot of abuse. I bought several of these for my family and everyone fights over the medium size ones. With this deal, I'm buying enough for everyone to have 2 of the mediums. These are the best packing cubes I've ever used.

I have and love these cubes, used them recently to pack for a long trip and they actually did hold quite a bit and compress pretty easily. I was skeptical of the price compared to other compression cubes but once I got them I understood, the thickness/sturdiness of the fabric and zippers significantly exceeds my other cubes from different brands.

You could probably get by with 2 medium and one small. I ordered a small, a medium and then the medium with the clean/dirty divider which was also on sale but not listed here. For personal item travel the small and medium would be fine but if you're going with a carry-on style backpack or roller two medium and a small would be great.

so everyone keeps saying they're the best but why? I'm trying to figure out how they can justify them being like 5x the cost of some of the more generic ones that still use ykk zippers

Very similar price at REI if you would rather support a different retailer. I picked up a few in store last weekend. I did observe that some of the white were more off-white, while others were pure white. Something to be aware of.

$17 for the 11L medium is about the lowest I've seen these. The compression zipper really does buy you an extra day of clothes in a carry-on, though the small at 5L is pretty tight for anything but socks and shirts.

I ordered this yesterday and received... ONE packing cube. Maybe I should've paid more attention but I just assumed that it would be a set of 3 or something, enough cubes to pack a suitcase.

I don't care how good the quality is, $20 for a single pouch kinda feels like a rip-off.

I'm sorry you feel slighted but what gave you the impression that ordering 1 would yield 3? The non-set photos clearly only show one cube and the Item Details says "1 Count" and also says Number of Items - 1 under the various colors. The set photos show 1 medium, 1 small. It honestly could not have been more clear.

I did my research and ordered 2 small, 2 medium, 1 Clean/Dirty, 1 shoe bag, and the Subterra 2 Toiletry bag (All on sale) to refresh my travel set. The quality and the utility of these are definitely worth it.

And if you search for "compression packing cube" on Amazon or anywhere else, all of the products you see besides Thule are sold in sets of 4, sets of 6, etc. Nobody would use just a single packing cube for traveling -- it makes no sense.

That said, good on you for doing your research and buying up a whole bunch of the Thule's. I hope your designer T-shirts fit well in them.

Good price, had a small/medium set already. Bought another small. Pretty pricey but you get what you pay for, I have several packing bags half the price or lower but the quality is not there and those others are just sitting collecting dust now. Wish I bought these sooner.
