This is a very cheap 80 20 ground beef deal that works best for stocking the freezer or making burgers, meatballs, and other everyday meals. The price has landed as low as $1 per pound with coupons, and orders have also hit the $25 grocery minimum for free Prime shipping by adding milk, juice, or other staples. Availability is regional and the max is 5 pounds. Freshness and quality have generally been fine, though there are concerns about unclear origin, packaging, and occasional tougher pieces.

  • Shoppers building a grocery order to reach free shipping, because adding regular items can unlock the $25 threshold.

  • Burger cooks who want 80/20 beef for grilling, because it browns and tastes like normal store-brand ground beef.

  • Freezer stockers who portion meat for later, because the 5-pound packs can be frozen and used over time.

  • Households that want a cheap bulk protein delivery, because 5 pounds has arrived for $13 to $15 delivered.

  • Shoppers who need clear meat sourcing, because the origin and country of processing are not easy to verify.

  • Buyers who need reliable cold-chain handling, because the meat can arrive in paper bags without ice packs.

  • Families uneasy about food-safety uncertainty, because recalled imported beef and expiration concerns came up in the discussion.

  • People who want premium ground beef texture, because hard cartilage-like pieces and excess liquid have been reported.

If you want to see where the meat came from, just look at the stamped "EST XXX" number. For example, mine is 267, which was processed in Arizona.

It would be helpful to the community here to eschew from spreading propaganda or being an alarmist. Perhaps that's too much to ask of some people, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Pair it with some Argentinian spices, perfect combo. Jk. It says usda on the package.

Does "processed" in AZ mean the cattle were grown there too, or was the meat just "processed" there? Since all of this meat is USDA inspected/approved I'm assuming it's all "processed" in the USA?

That's not at all how it works in my experience with food returns (not requiring a return, instant refund, almost always from the AI agent without a human). I've done dozens. No photos, just click the boxes. YMMV based on your standing with Amazon I guess.
I worry that Amazon will revoke my account if I do too many returns

I guess if you're worried then don't do it but if you spend a reasonable amount of money on Amazon these grocery returns should not be an issue at all. And well before revoking accounts they will just say 'no,'…
