Stay away. Wifi7 on Broadcom is terrible. Unstable connections and "easyMesh" is not easy at all. I returned mine after a weekend of struggles

This model has lots of bad reviews of having an unstable WiFi connection. Their lowest end model that still has WiFi7 seems to work great though.

I tried this a few months ago, thinking firmware updates would help---NOPE.

Went back to my old wifi 6 router (also ASUS). Way too buggy, constant disconnects, and wifi 7 only good if really close by, bc soon as you go to another room, the throughput drops.

Router also has a legacy IOT SSID setting, but my roku and other IOT devices still didn't like it.

Wireless drops and signal failures on newly launched Wi-Fi 7 routers usually stem from unoptimized initial software or misconfigured default settings (like legacy device conflicts) rather than faulty hardware.

I got this router long time ago during the firmware chaos. After updating to latest firmware you MUST do a hard reset using the button on the back of the router or problems will persist.

My experience with Asus routers have taught me to keep away. Initially, like the reviews said, the speed were great. But stability, they lack. I had to do periodic reboots on them. Not good at all. I will stick with TP-Link.

That's too bad. I've used Asus for about 13 years because they always work great. I've had most all of them, my 1900 just stopped working after almost 13 years. I used it as a main for about 8, then a node for the rest. I've had the 92 for about a year as main with two nodes 5400/1800, all trouble free and super fast.

i got this router used from woot a while back and its been nothing but problematic.
even on the latest firmware the WIFI will completely crash after a few days requiring a manual reboot. avoid this router, its not worth it!

I got two of these despite the bad rviews and have nothing but good experience with it. I have them in AI Mesh and works flawlessly and get 2gig on my wifi with wifi 7 without issues. I did use Merlin-WRT instead of Asus' firmware so that might be the reason why I haven't had any issues with it since I got them.

Yeah, I thought TP-Link were great, but I got the Deco BE-63 half a year ago and have had nothing but issues. Every so often the main Deco light goes red and it loses connection with the Internet. Even reboots do not fix it. Opened a case with TP-Link and they tell me it is a compatibility issue with my pFsense firewall and the Deco. Yeah right, I was running M9 Plus for 5 years and never had a single issue. Will never purchase another TP-Link product.

I've been using several asus WiFi 6 routers and it's been awesome, never had a problem. The only time I had issues is when smart connect was enabled. I always have dedicated 2.4 and 5ghz channels. I keep hearing negative horror stories about WiFi 7 especially with asus. Been rocking an rt AX56U and AX58U and it's been great.

Hopefully it's just poorly designed software that asus can fix. I remember some generations of Netgear nighthawks that were horrible when they came out and after several years of updates it became a really good router. So maybe that could happen here... a big maybe

I need another router for AI Mesh but will likely stick to WiFi 6 based on the comments here and other places.

This router is very good. I don't know why people hate it a lot.

I got it right before stable firmware was released, never had any issues at all. If you got it with old software do factory reset after installing latest one, it works perfect.
