This Subway app and online footlong promo centers on a $6.99 qualifying sub with code FL699 for Select Subway Sub Club members at participating locations. The code has worked recently, and some locations accept it while others do not, so store participation matters. The deal can get cheaper when paired with discounted Subway gift cards, and a nearby location even made lunch land around $3.50 after splitting the sandwich. The main drawback is portion size and value, since the subs are described as skinny and still pricey compared with other fast food or grocery options.

  • Promo code FL699 can apply successfully for a $6.99 footlong when ordering online or through the app.

  • The FL699 code reportedly worked again after trying it on different days.

  • Trying an alternate promo code format can restore the discount when the originally tried code stops working.

  • The FL699 coupon may not work at every Subway location, including some non-participating stores.

  • Some shoppers consider $7 to be a poor deal compared with other meal options and expect chips or a drink at that price.

  • Nearby locations may not participate in Subway promos, which can limit where the $6.99 or $7-style pricing applies.

  • Footlong portion size can feel smaller, with comments describing reduced girth and length.

They have a 6.99 footlong deal running at any given time. They rotate through the same like 6 codes. Pair this with discounted Subway gift cards and you end up with a $5 (or less) footlong. Costco for the longest time sold $75 worth of gift cards for $55 for example. Can pretty easily find gift cards for $0.70 on the dollar.

Is a foot long worth $8? Probably not. Is it worth $7 probably not. But for the current equivalent of $4.30 for a footlong I've been paying, can't beat it.
I have to agree with this especially in how can customize them by loading them up with veggies, type of bread, cheese, condomints, etc. Nicely done sir.

I miss the $5 footlongs too and it has in fact changed Subway to something I have every week to something I go to once or twice a year, but let's not forget that other than a brief (and quickly aborted after franchise owners complained) "2 for $10" that they did when COVID happened and the office lunch customers were gone, it's been over a decade since they've had that. I'd expect them to charge a least a little more than $5. I think it was really more that $5 was too good of a deal, while paying the regular price just shows Subway is mostly meh.
Covid was only 5 years ago lol

$7 is the new $5. Get used to it at Subway.

$11 is the new $7 at Jimmy John's and Firehouse for "medium" 10" subs. And Firehouse has gotten really skimpy on things lately.

Yeah, it has a tendency to just randomly block people. One of the worst fast food websites I've seen.

To be fair, $5 footlong started almost 20 years ago. The only reason people still remember it is because the jingle was catchy.

My local grocery store wants $13 for a 12" sub. Granted, it's all Boar's Head meat, but still.

Subway isn't that bad, this still seems high for a "deal."

People always hating on Subway. The $5 Footlong promo started in 2008, that same year McDonald's introduced the Mcdouble for $1 as cheaper alternative to the double cheeseburger.

Today? The Mcdouble is $3.00 or more depending on location. 3 fold price increase since 2008.

Subway over here trying to sell sandwiches for $7, not even 50% price increase and people are complaining.

$7 is the same price as Dominos medium pizza which is 4 meals by calories. This is bad deal with how skimpy they gotten.
If you just want calllories just eat butter. Domino's is 8 dollars for 2400ccal~, and a chicken and bacon sandwich is 1200ccal.

Butter would be cheaper than Subway, but Dominos tastes better. This isn't a good deal at all. Thats why Subway is dying. This is a $4 sandwich. At $7 it should be a meal with chips/drink. Don't get ripped off.

This food isn't great but the place near my work takes these codes. I put half in the fridge for the next day. The sandwich is pretty big.
3.50 for lunch is pretty good. People complain about 7 bucks vs 5, grocery prices are up 50% since 2020. Give me a break.
