This refurbished Acer Aspire 14 stands out as a strong sub 400 dollar value for a modern Windows laptop, especially with 16GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a recent Ultra 5 chip. The refurb has been described as looking nearly new, and the package can include a sleeve, touch screen, facial recognition unlock, and a two year warranty. Battery life is reported as all day for office work, with a lightweight 3 pound chassis that suits basic SaaS, browsing, and school use. The main knocks are middling keyboard, touchpad, screen, and build quality, plus it is not a gaming laptop and long term Acer durability remains a concern.
The deal can provide strong storage and memory value with 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD for under $400.
The refurb can look brand new, including a sticker on the Acer logo and very low drive power-on counts.
The laptop can include a laptop sleeve and support touch screen plus facial recognition unlock.
The laptop can deliver easy all-day battery life for basic office tasks.
The build quality can be subpar, with the keyboard, mouse, and monitor described as not great on a similar Acer refurb.
The screen can be less sharp and the laptop can feel not the lightest for portability expectations.
Refund handling can be slow when delivery fails through the Acer eBay store.
A prior Acer experience can indicate durability concerns, with Acer laptops reportedly lasting only about two to three years.

I got one back in December for my old man, the promo back then $699 - 250 promo. It was quite a decent laptop for the price. Not exactly for gaming but for a basic office suite/browsing/YT it's more than fine.
easy all day battery life for basic office tasks. perfect for me.
