This RIDGID 18V 1/2 inch impact wrench is a bare tool aimed at home garage jobs, with 500 foot pounds of breakaway torque and enough muscle for deck lag bolts, wheel changes, tire rotations, and stubborn bolt removal. The lifetime parts and service promise adds value at $69, especially versus older kit pricing around $129 to $140. It is the non brushless version, and newer RIDGID impacts offer more torque, smaller size, and better battery efficiency. A solid budget option if you want dependable torque without paying for the latest model.
The tool is rated for 500 ft-lbs breakaway torque, which supports demanding bolt removal tasks.
The lifetime parts and service offer can add value for a $69 bare-tool purchase.
The non-brushless version still fits common home jobs like deck lag bolts and tire work.
The 18V platform can be used for large, difficult bolt removal, with the impact wrench described as a go-to option.
The 500 ft-lbs breakaway torque spec is lower than newer RIDGID impact wrench models rated around 650 ft-lbs or 1,300 ft-lbs.
This specific model is not brushless, which may matter if brushless performance or efficiency is a priority.
The non-brushless color shade is described as a lower-tier RIDGID version, which can signal fewer performance upgrades versus newer brushless options.
The model is described as an older design sold as a kit for about $120-$140 with a 4Ah battery, and newer impacts may have higher torque.

Especially for non commercial/home use?

Ridgid just replaced my 18 year old hammer drill that died with a new brushless model that is smaller, lighter, more powerful and more battery efficient.
Here's a review of the Ridgid R86215 . Just remember it's 3 years old and some newer impacts have increased torque quite a bit since then.
