This Cozeware 12,000 BTU ductless mini split stands out as a quiet, budget-friendly heating and cooling option with solid performance for the price. The unit is reported to run extremely quietly indoors and outdoors, and the WiFi controller uses Tuya, so it can work with Smart Life or Home Assistant. Installation needs a vacuum pump and HVAC gauges to evacuate the lines, and the box includes 16.5 foot linesets, communication wires, and an electrical whip. The main caution is long term reliability, since some mini splits can lose refrigerant or get noisy over time, making proper install and maintenance important.
Common Questions (5)
Yes. The line set must be vacuumed before releasing the refrigerant, and a vacuum pump plus HVAC gauges are needed to do it correctly. A common install approach is to pull vacuum for about 30 minutes, then hold and check for leaks before opening the lines.
It includes 16.5 ft linesets and communication wires, plus the electrical whip for the disconnect-to-unit run. The included drain hose is a few feet shorter than the lineset, and the wiring pass-through uses rubber grommets.
Yes. The WiFi controller is Tuya-based, so it can be added to Tuya or Smart Life apps without using the Cozeware app. It can also integrate with Home Assistant if your setup supports Tuya devices.
It uses R32 refrigerant. The install manual lists it, though finding R32 can be inconvenient compared with more common refrigerants.
The unit is covered for 5 years on general failures and 7 years on the compressor. DIY installs are covered too, unless an installation mistake causes the failure.

The description says the Visio is more heavy duty and the Enduring is made for residential?? Specs look the same.
I installed my Pioneers about 8-9 years ago and one of them lost refrigerant a year ago. I guess it's either this or try to recharge it myself.
