Love my Half Dome tent. This is a great deal. About to take it out in a few days on a rainy overnight trip.

This is three times the price of a regular tent even after discount. Can someone please share genuine feedback on why this is better?

I don't have it, but here is the key spec:
"Trail weight 4 lb 13.3 oz; packed weight 5 lb 15.1 oz;"

This Coleman one is 7.5lbs https://www.coleman.com/camp-spor...07023.html

I have this tent, and these stay very well protected from rain and wind compared to other tents like Coleman.

I've used it in situations where many people had their tents flood but I had everything perfectly dry.

The poles are also well made. A friend broke their Coleman poles the very first time they set up their tent, my two REI tents have been without issue for years.

I have this tent for when I don't have room to carry anything bigger, or an REI 6 person tent when I do.

Its the weight and packed size that differentiate it. If you're backpacking space and weight are super important. If you're car camping the biggest difference is just quality but if you're backpacking the difference in size and weight is huge after walking for miles.

Great affordable backpacking tent. Perfect for my wife and myself. I use a smaller tent when it's just me but this is a great 2 person tent.

Will this comfortably fit two adults? I normally expect them to fit 1 less than advertised, which would make this a 1-person tent.

I can only vouch for the tent as I bought it twelve years ago of FB marketplace w/o the footprint. I used it regularly for at least four years as our two boys went through Boy Scouts (they each have their own 1-person tent). It held up great in windy rains and cold all over Texas. Our use case was < 6 miles hike in to the primitive sites and never more than three nights backpacking. It is just right when my wife did tag along (we're both 5'6 or less). We still have the 4-person Coleman for when in-laws come along for car camping where the minivan is within distance for them to shelter as needed. Our Coleman doesn't have rain fly that goes all the way down to the ground. PS: for footprint. I used folded tarp or cut Tyvek sized smaller than the tent floor.
