Available:Features:
  • Compressor Cooling Speed: Using compressor cooling, the 12V electric cooler can drop temps from 68°F/20°C to 32°F/0°C in about 20 minutes to help keep food fresh during travel. ECO mode supports efficient daily use, while MAX mode offers quicker cooling whenever needed on the road
  • Precise Touch Control: With both a touchscreen panel and an app, our car freezer lets you fine-tune modes and adjust temperature with accuracy. Internal temperature can be viewed at any moment
  • Durable Exterior Layout: A matte finish gives the truck cooler a strong, durable shell that handles daily use. The sealing strip holds the lid firmly to cut down on cold air loss, and a convenient latch plus several ventilation openings help the door move easily and let heat out more quickly
  • Reliable Power Switch: With both 100–240V AC and 12/24V DC options, the portable freezer shifts easily between indoor and in-car power. A three-level battery setup helps reduce excessive draw on the vehicle system, and the low-noise build plus stable 45° operation support comfort during long journeys
  • Versatile Outdoor Use: Compact 21-quart/20L sizing allows a truck fridge to sit in the trunk, behind seats or in a truck bed with ease. The 12V compressor system is ready for outdoor use on uneven or sloped terrain, matching RV travel, campsites, boats, camping, fishing, and long road trips

Why would people use these instead of a cooler? I wouldn't want to chance draining my car battery and being stranded! Plus, ICE is super easy and cheap to get...
Yeah, 12V car battery isn't going to be running this. I know folks with EVs who use these when going camping. They charge before arriving and their food stays fresh for the trip.

They're great. No need to dig around in cold wet ice to get out soggy food and have to get ice all the time.

They run just fine in 12v or standard wall outlets. Small ones great for road trips. Bigger ones great for camping, hunting, campers, etc. Most all also have low battery cutoffs but they don't use much power as they are very efficient.

Oh yeah, I know they use the 12v cig outlet, but assumed they are meant to be used when gas cars are running. Not sure how long the 12v battery itself would last if the engine was off.

I've been holding off getting one for my gas car as I don't see myself leaving the engine on the entire time I'm camping.

Coupon seems to work on other items as well. This pseudo dual zone style seems like the worst kind, but interested to see if anyone sees the use case.

They can run off battery for hours no issue, and they shut off automatically if battery is low. It's also insulated, so even unpluggedIt'll stay cold a while. Can run them off portable battery units as well. Can fit a lotMore important stuff without ice, and no mess. I typically use it for road trips between the back seats, snacks and food for everyone then when I get to destination i bring it in and unload it or plug it in.

How hard is to add wheels on all of these cheap units? Can't justify spending 50% to 100% more just to be able to move it easily.

I once felt shared a similar opinion untill I actually tried one. Having popsicles when you are out camping/kids sports and it's 90°+ is amazing. We only had it connected to the vehicle while driving. It was connected to a Bluetti power station at all other times. It really doesn't use much power, 30-40watts. I'm also a fan of having drinks right on the cusp of freezing so it slushes up when you open it. Seriously, these things are awesome.

These coolers are pretty efficient (30-40watts). Depending on your use case you could get a power station to run for a day or if using it for multiple days a power station and solar panels. I recently used one camping with temperatures over 90° and a 1Kw battery+solar panels kept everything running. It was awesome.
