Much more low key, less sci-fi and more 'near future' corporate espionage. 1st book is solid, books 2,3 not so great with different main characters.

It's one of his best but doesn't hold up as well as others in certain ways. The societal aspects ring true, the tech parts are dated. Absolutely with the $2.

I reread this recently and had forgotten how good it is. The book takes place when it was written, in the early aughts, at this point it's a period piece. If your were online in the early aughts it'll be nostalgic. Beyond that it's a great story, Cayce is one of Gibson's best written characters.
